Kingsland, Auckland is the new home of Sandringham favourite St Anthony’s.

St Anthony’s offer staple Sri Lankan favourites in a quaint and modest setting. The restaurant is clean in design, with ornate tiles and traditional Sri Lankan décor and there is a lovely upstairs seating area for diners to relax and unwind. Their staff are hyper accommodating and super friendly.

To eat, St Anthony’s offer gloriously home-style Sri Lankan favourites, with a $20 buffet on Saturdays. To snack on, the wade is popular street food with a crispy golden crust and softcore, accompanied by coconut chutney. For mains, the aptly named $14 meal is a white rice dish with three mouth-watering veggie curries with a meat or prawn option.

For dessert, try the pani caju – a caramelised peanut and coconut treacle cake with honey butter-cream and caramelised cashew and peanut shards if you want to finish off in style.
