Bridging the gap between India and Nepal, The Everest celebrates the culture that these countries share. Separated by just a border and the highest mountain in the world, food becomes the conversation that brings two neighbours together.
Bright, warm and welcoming, you don't have to have climbed the highest peak to be greeted with open arms here. Designed with community and relaxation in mind, The Everest is composed mostly of wood which brings to mind forest cabins and the inherent beauty of the natural world; appropriate indeed. Decorated with little shrines where diners can pay their respects to the spiritual world, this eatery encapsulates the spirituality and wilderness that is the world's most challenging trek.
But of course, all treks, no matter how small, must be rewarded with a piping hot meal, and if that means piling on the starters too, so be it. Kick off your evening with crispy vegetable samosas, chicken tikka and tandoori prawns, and add on some Mumbai chaat whilst you're at it too. But be careful to still have some room left for curry; that's probably the main reason you're here!
The curries provide perfectly spiced familiarity, bringing forth warming kormas, saagwalas, vindaloos and rogan joshes, all of which can be customised with lamb, chicken or beef. Those of you who prefer not to eat meat, just know that Indian cuisine always has your back with paneer creations, daals and vegetable-rich saags. Then, cool off with a freshly prepared shake. Keep it refreshing with a soft drink or combine it with a dessert with a chocolate milkshake or a mango lassi. Now that's the Everest treatment.
