It's impossible to miss Amore Food Shop & Cafe, though it’s often called ‘Timaru’s best-kept hidden secret’ by the regular locals as it can be found tucked in behind Specsavers just off the main highway. A bright red building serves as the perfect cheery welcome for this community space. Here everyone (that includes all you gluten-intolerant and vegan folks) is welcome to make themselves at home in their bright and casual bistro, browse the sustainably-sourced products that line their shelves, or sit outside and soak in that South Canterbury sunshine!

The menu is centred on comfort food with a healthy twist. Have your fill of mega cheesy toasties and club sammies made with gluten-free sourdough, any of Kelly's signature pies made daily or some hearty breakfasty greats that have their place at any point in the day. Filled pancakes and loaded savoury waffles, we're looking at you!
