Sitting pretty between Ghuznee and Dixton Street, this eatery is casting Wellingtonians under its hipster spell. Best known for its enchanted beer garden, you can enjoy the best of the BBQ under the stars with a fire heater if the Wellington winds are feeling particularly enthusiastic. Alternatively, head inside to their colourful haven where no inch of wall has escaped the paintbrush, the chairs glow all kinds of fluorescent shades and smoky cocktails add that irresistible touch of theatre.

And they're not the only things that are smokin' hot! From grill to plate, you've got the herbed scotch fillet. roasted pork belly with an immense crackling rind and the za'atar spiced aubergine with chickpeas and masala-tzatziki sauce. All marinated, brined or smoked, these bad boys always deliver on unrivalled flavour.

Other offerings include the mega burgers with beef patties, crispy softshell crab and Alchemyst's signature spiced chicken (and no, you can't have the recipe, sorry).
