Wellington’s newest Japanese bar and restaurant, Tokeyo Izakaya Den is tucked away in a funky back street. Emulating the vibrancy and relaxed atmosphere of a traditional Japanese gastropub, Tokeyo is the place for amazing cocktails, great food and listening to great music.

Sit back, enjoy a Japanese cocktail or a cold Asahi beer and order traditional Japanese fare. Excellent gyoza and a delicious range from the grill make it difficult to pick a favourite dish! If it really is too hard to choose, ask for the Omakase set menu and the chef will serve you dishes to make your palate dance.

Different to everything else on the Wellington restaurant and bar scene, this restaurant has beautiful artwork and melds modern and traditional Japanese style well. Already known for its great atmosphere and high standard of customer service, Tokeyo won’t disappoint.
