Mayfair Cafe

Hidden behind a small red door is an expansive venue which once housed the Mayfair Theatre back in the early 1900s. The eclectic décor features movie memorabilia, fairy lights and a mix of corrugated iron and stone. It’s a truly unique venue!

Fresh local produce is used to create a menu of Kiwi and Internationally inspired dishes. For breakfast, there’s French toast with bacon and grilled banana, traditional eggs benny and a big, hearty vegetarian breakfast. Not forgetting coffee with a kick to get your day off to the right start.

On the lunch menu, you’ll find a wide range of dishes from Thai beef salad and chicken tikka masala to post-workout dishes and open chicken sandwiches on wholemeal bread. The evening menu is also distinctly International with Asian dishes like Thai salads and stout beef burgers with curly fries.

This spacious café is ideal for family dining, with a tasty children’s menu and plenty of options on offer.
