King of Snake

As soon as you step inside KING of SNAKE, you'll realise it is regarded as one of the best restaurants in New Zealand.

The award-winning restaurant will bedazzle you with its panoramic views over the Avon River and spectacular views of the Bridge of Remembrance.

It’s beautiful interiors with plush Italian velvet seating and bespoke cut marble floor, strikingly executed Euro-Asian dishes & cocktails have made King of Snake an icon in the city, throughout New Zealand and internationally. The restaurant is based in The Terrace, a chic hospitality area in the centre of the city.

Inside the doors to King of Snake is their cocktail bar Monarch where you can enjoy pre or post dinner bespoke cocktails and of course King of Snake’s cuisine is on offer should you miss out on a table in the restaurant. You have a choice of balcony dining, main restaurant or countertop. They even offer a private dining room inside Monarch Cocktail Bar.

When it comes to sharing plates we'd recommend you feast with the sashimi of market fish, which features delicate cuts of fresh tuna on a bed of young coconut and nuoc cham. You've also got to try the roasted coconut spinach leaf dish, a must have amongst all diners.
