Delhi-6 is cutting out the bells and whistles so they can focus all their attention on recreating India's most breathtaking dishes.

Waltham's favourite Indian eatery, Delhi-6 is a cheery, orange presence on the high street. Inside, the theme continues with a floor-to-ceiling orange dining room, juxtaposed nicely by jet black furniture that gives it a jaunty, confident vibe. They're not the ones to fit into the crowd!

As for the menu, the team prides itself on serving the biggest variety of Indian food in the whole of Christchurch. They're going for gold with a fragrant mix of creamy kormas, punchy saags, bold jalfrezis and nutty kali mirchs, all served with your choice of chicken or lamb. Goat also features on the menu, challenging you to rethink this humble meat with jawdropping flavours.

As for seafood, diners have a wealth of options that include prawn vindaloo, masala fish and a mysterious but delicious Seafood Delight. Vegetarians have their own menu too that's stuffed with paneer-themed goodies, warming daals, the street-food favourite chana masala and vegetable korma. They even have Indo-Chinese and biryani dishes on the menu. And with enough naans to sink a ship, it begs the question: is there anything Delhi-6 can't do?
