Makan Café has just opened at the corner of Welles Street and Manchester Street, offering a stylish yet cosy setting perfect for Christchurch food lovers.

Makan Café brings a fresh twist to the local dining scene with its thoughtfully curated menu. Choose from two distinct menu options—small and large Makan—each offering a variety of mouth-watering choices. For breakfast, you can customise your own toastie, croissant, or bagel or indulge in a unique dish like mushrooms and roti canai with chicken curry.

If you're in the mood for something more substantial, try the beef rendang on toast, one of the tasty burger options, or the Buddha Bowl, featuring rice, egg, mesclun, cucumber, corn, tomato, sprouts, mayo, and sweet sambal. For a plant-based option, the grilled asparagus and mushroom on sourdough is a vegan delight.

Currently, Makan Café does not have a license to serve alcohol. However, Makan Café offer a great range of coffee, teas, and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks.
