Breakers Palmerston North

A beloved chain of restaurants exclusive to the North Island, Breakers has been reuniting families and putting smiles on hungry diners' faces since 1997. And they ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

With three locations across North Island, Breakers does valiant work feeding the Northern communities. Their Palmerston North branch is no different. It's proud to serve hungry bellies from the Linton Military Base, Massey University and NZ's most die-hard sports fans in its beachy restaurant. Free-spirited and chilled, they have all the trappings of the surfer lifestyle, from the surfboards themselves to the beach-side tipi hut and wall paintings that put you right next to the waves. It's a cruisy spot to be sure!

So, whether you breeze in for lunch or dinner, there are plenty of Kiwi favourites to see you right. They're keeping it really classic with fish and chips, green-lipped mussels, braised lamb shank and sandwiches loaded with free-range meat and organic veggies. They're also busy flipping burger patties for the battered fish and beef burger, both of which are paired with crunchy salad and heaps of homemade sauces. And if you're really hungry, see if you can tackle the Monster Burger or Gourmet Chicken Burger.
