Perched above the clear water of Tasman Bay, this little haven fully immerses you in Nelson’s picturesque scenery; the sailboats, ships coming in and out of the working port, and surrounded by the beautiful Kahurangi Mountain range.

It should come as no surprise that seafood is the star of the menu. Begin with some fresh salmon poke, Mills Bay mussels, or the Marlborough cured salmon with a crunchy cucumber salad and burnt onion oil.

The Boat Shed prides itself on sourcing fresh local and seasonal ingredients. Current winter favourites include braised beer short rib, pan roasted market fish and grilled lamb rump. Vegetarians can enjoy the rich flavour of a roasted garlic and blue cheese soufflé.
