The Bach Bar and Restaurant

Things are always dandy on The Bach Bar and Restaurant's turf. Housed in one of Nelson's most celebrated hotels, this is where the local community congregates whenever the sun's out, whenever there's a game on, whenever there's an occasion... any excuse really!

It calls The Turf Hotel home and enjoys a wonderfully rustic interior, reminiscent of the much-loved kiwi bach. The patio outside is absolutely chocka block during the summer months.

Fully equipped with sports screens too, The Bach are proud sponsors of Tasman Makos. So, they're the best company for match day. And so is their menu! The mains serve up comforting warmers like fish and chips, slow-roasted brisket with a glossy BBQ sauce, the signature burger and a stuffed chicken breast with heaps of veggies and creamy mushroom sauce.

Their tacos are also worth your while. Filled with anything from fried fish to spicy chicken and buffalo cauliflower, these guys simply burst with fresh flavours and texture. Save some room for a lemon meringue pie or ginger and honey kumara cake, keep the little ones occupied with eats from the kid's menu and cheer on the team! Non-Tasman Makos supporters are still very welcome.
