Modern European eats with plenty of class and sophistication, Petone is delighted to welcome Oli & Mi to the fold.
It calls the historical Dental building its home and overlooks one of Petone's most iconic streets. Art Deco on the outside, a beautiful, modern fitout on the inside, Oli & Mi is full of surprises. Diners are greeted by a contemporary bistro that prioritises comfort and style with sleek booths, dark wood furnishings and glossy floors. Understated yet boasting a certain air of luxury, the spacious dining room is flooded with the natural light that comes in from the enormous windows all around, creating an airy, free-flowing space in which diners can stretch out and relax.
As for the menu, you could mistake yourself for being on a centuries-old, cobbled street in Europe. To begin, tantalise the tastebuds whilst also preserving the appetite with delicate offerings like pumpkin and ricotta tortellini, smoked salmon pate on sourdough and beetroot tartare with whipped goats cheese. Small in size but big in flavour, these are the perfect prelude for what's to come.
For mains, deep-dive into bistro classics that are the mainstay of any European kitchen. The most tender beef is showcased in a beef Wellington, served with duxelles mushrooms and Parma ham, herb crusted lamb rack can be found with sweet winter vegetables and the rich duck cassoulet is a hearty offering with pork sausage and white beans gracing the most velvety of gravies. To finish, it has to be creme crème brûlée. Sweet and silky, this French staple never fails to conclude a meal with that certain... je nais se quois.
