If you’re a cheese-lover, you’ll know all about Whitestone. Founded by the Berry family in 1987, the business has grown from a little known farm in Oamaru to the national legends they are today. Now with a cheese bar in Auckland, everyone’s loving their brie-llient products and boutique cheese experience.

Basking in that rustic farmhouse vibe, the Whitestone Cheese Bar has plenty of comfy, cosy corners to nestle into. During the colder months, take a seat at any of their informal picnic tables inside. Completely wooden, this is the treehouse we all dreamed of when we were little! And outside, soak in the sun from their spacious patio – it’s one of Auckland’s best kept secrets.

No prizes for guessing the star of the menu. Featuring all your favourite chewy milk from the Oamaru farm, get cheesy one mouthful at a time. To begin, how about some truffle honey baked Camembert, halloumi chips or some southern cheese rolls?

Move on to their oozalicious (if that’s even a word) grilled cheese sandwiches. Bite into the cheesy heaven that is Vintage Five Forks with Aged Airdale and caramelized onions, MT Kyeburn with crispy bacon and Monte Cristo with BBQ pulled pork; possibly the most decadent sandwich there ever was. And if you still haven’t satiated your inner cheese monster, how about a cheese board for good measure?
