Welcome to Bird On A Wire, the passion project of a group of friends who simply wanted to feed the world better food. And that's exactly what they've done, as well as created relaxed social spaces all around New Zealand in which guests can recline and recharge. In its home turf of Ponsonby, it's no different. They've gone for a moodier vibe at this branch, creating a real sense of history with an original fireplace, heaps of antique furniture and dark accompanying accessories that wouldn't be out of place in Jack Sparrow's ship. Intriguing and playful in equal measure, BOAW Ponsonby will certainly keep you on your toes.

As it turns out, there are a million ways to enjoy this humble bird and BOAW is blowing countless minds. Their pride and joy has to be the rotisserie chicken.
