The Cav's been kicking around for over 150 years and show no sign of going anywhere anytime soon. We just hope they have another 150 years left in the tank! Newly renovated with a fresh, summery look, The Cav has transformed from an old pub into a trendy watering hole that has everything you need for a fun-loving yet elegant evening in Ponsonby. As well as caramel woods, beachy whites and hanging baskets on the inside, they're dialling up for summer on their whitewashed patio outside that has some awesome views of Sky Tower in the distance.

When it comes to their menu, they're a gastropub at heart. And who can say no to an Angus Scotch Fillet Steak after a long day? Or one of their burgers or perhaps Fish & Chips, for that matter?

The beverage is equally as important as the food. Household brands on tap make for pleasing refreshments out on the sunny deck, whilst sparkling wines and NZ wines prove mandatory when celebrating a special occasion.
