After a fabulous relaunch and makeover, Soul Quarter is tempting the people of Christchurch with its swanky bistro, modern dishes and spritely cocktails. All vital necessities for the soul!

The new fit-out is a truly beautiful thing to behold. Boasting a dramatic tiered layout, the fresh, contemporary look pervades both on the ground floor and upstairs. Neon lights, potted plants and a refreshing green colour scheme thread their way through this social hub, where a vibey bar, sheltered patio and just about anywhere else is the perfect spot for mingling, wining and dining.

Soak in the buzzing atmosphere with some sharing plates. The carefully curated menu hits all the sweet spots with grilled octopus, beef tartare and – the dish that's making its debut with this menu change – the beetroot risotto with a celeriac steak, pickled vegetables, salsa verde, granola and our homemade vegan mascarpone!

Depending on whether you want to fully indulge or take it slow, there are light and main meals that touch all corners of the globe. Favourites from the menu include the Canterbury lamb rump and the smoked pumpkin ravioli with vegan butter that are the perfect blend of hearty and soul warming flavours. Or indulge in our slow cooked venison lasagne packed wintery flavours, pecorino cheese and truffle aromas. Who could pass up a porterhouse steak to tantalise the taste buds and leave much anticipation for dessert. Tiramisu, anyone?
