Smoke ‘n’ Barrel has been elevating Christchurch’s BBQ experience since 2017, combining classic Texas BBQ, excellent local products, well-executed sides and an emphasis on shared plates to create BBQ for everybody.
Try the world-famous-in-Ōtautahi Beef Brisket Reuben with homemade sauerkraut, melty swiss cheese and a russian aioli. Or split a Beef Cheek Board with creamy parmesan polenta, miso-tahini charred veg and a red wine jus. There’s also a great range of tasty snacks and sides with crowd favourites like the Fried Loaded Potato Skins with melted cheese, bacon, spring onion, and chilli-lime cream cheese, and Chef Cory’s Pork Green Chilli Mac ‘n’ Cheese — a nod to his old hometown in Denver, Colorado.
Vegetarians are in for a treat too: Try the Veggie Board which features smoked cauliflower, tofu and pickled beetroot hummus. And gluten free folk should feel free to choose, with gluten free options available for almost every menu item.
