At the Hospitality NZ Awards, Fable Hotel Dunedin was named New Zealand's most beautiful and best luxury hotel. Originally built in 1862, the hotel's walls are adorned with classic works of art and sepia photographs, and the decor adds a touch of class to an already visually stunning historical building.

The menu is a contemporary twist on classical Southern New Zealand cuisine showcasing the region's abundant produce, perfected by their talented team of passionate chefs. The expansive selection can appear daunting, which is why sharing plates are a must to allow diners to taste a little bit of everything. Particularly delicious is the soup of the day, the chef's daily creation served with ciabatta.

For mains, the duck à l'orange is a must. It boasts cointreau sauce, red wine braised cabbage, and a potato beignet, making it tender and full of flavour. The Press Club also offers an intimate, secluded dining experience in its luxurious indoor booths.
