Evoking Dunedin’s Scottish roots for more than a decade, Scotia showcases traditional Scottish cuisine with a modern twist.

The restaurant was revived in 2015 by a local restauranteur after the original founders closed its doors. Refreshed and revived, Scotia now continues its tradition of excellent Southern hospitality amidst a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Located just minutes away from the vibrant centre of the Octagon, Scotia is housed in one of Dunedin’s beautiful, iconic terraced houses. Inside, you’ll find an impressive range of drinks, including an extensive whisky collection. Ask the knowledgeable staff for recommendations and food matches!

Known for its stand-out steak dishes, Scotia Dunedin serves a fusion between New Zealand and Scottish food. Red meats and in-house smoked fish and game is Scotia’s speciality.
