A cocktail bar and restaurant rolled into one, Level One is making nights out in Invercargill that little bit more special. Located in Kelvin Hotel, with contemporary décor and upmarket upholstery that makes the whole place beam with the promise of a good time.
New Zealand is very much on the menu. Featuring top-quality cuts of meat like rare venison, pork belly, South Island lamb and beef, you couldn't do better for a celebratory steak night. NZ's treasured venison is cooked medium/rare for a melt-in-the-mouth moment whilst pure South eye fillet comes wrapped in crispy bacon and nestled next to a pumpkin and potato puree and a red wine jus. What's more, Lumina Lamb cutlets also battle for the spotlight with Mediterranean sides of lemon hummus and sweetbreads.
As for vegetarians, soya chunks are submerged in an aromatic broth with soft potatoes and carrots for a spicy curry to beat the South Island chill. And we needn't remind you to conclude your meal with a limoncello tiramisu or the crème brulee; these desserts, after all, are master seducers.
