And with a Southland/Murihiku inspired, game-led menu there will be much to enjoy while you are there. Enjoy lemon pepper squid, crispy pork belly pieces, and New Zealand lamb sweetbreads covered in herbs and spices and then coated in beer batter which are perhaps too good to share?
Putting New Zealand meat on show, the butcher's block is a star of the menu. Authentic southern steaks aged for 21 days in cuts like the ribeye and eye fillet are on offer or get a little messy with the pork ribs with Asian spices. Classic favourites are also on offer such as beer-battered blue cod and southern-style fried chicken. Alternatively, try something different with the duck two ways, leg of hare or goat shank.
