What began as an Odd Fellows society hall in the late 1800s is now this bustling pub in Hamilton East. Taking pride and place in a grand historical building, The Cook is out to impress with its vintage vibe mixed with contemporary neon lights, grungy memorabilia and a ceiling scattered with fairy lights. And thanks to their massive dining room, you and the gang have ample space to wine and recline.

And when it comes to great food, The Cook (and the actual cook) know how to hit that sweet spot. Meat, fish and veggie burgers tempt you to leave your table manners safely at home, whilst their range of pizzas are tried-and-tested crowd-pleasers.

For drinks, it's all about Good George! NZ's pride and glory, the brewery is pumping out hazy pilsners, IPAs, amber ales and a range of tutti-fruity ciders.
