Glittering on the wall you will find framed copies of the restaurant's namesake, the Times of India newspaper. Below these, some moody suede benches and enough chandeliers to fill a small palace, Times of India is proud to deliver one of the most opulent and lavish dining experiences in the whole of Auckland.
The brainchild of the 1947 eatery team, Times of India is set to make a splash in the Auckland dining scene. And it's not hard to see why. Before you even order your first dish, you will be mesmerised by the restaurant itself, gazing at its sweeping halls, rich textures and perfect symmetry. This is where everything is done to perfection, right down to the extravagant table settings, Times of India seeks to elevate Indian food to new heights and create a sense of wonder in everything they do.
Unlike most Indian menus, Times of India has created a concise and thoughtful menu with dishes that reflect who they are. For starters, the Mughal kitchen is rustling up vegetable manchuriyan, vegetarian patties and honey-chilli sticky wings that will absolutely require you to make use of the crisp, white napkins.
For mains, take your pick from the tandoor or the pot. For smoky, succulent meat, look to the tandoor for tender paneer and chicken infused with aromatic saffron. Alternatively, comfort the soul with a hearty curry. With the likes of tandoori chicken masala, bhuna gosht and daily fish curry on offer, this considered menu has everything you need for an unforgettable evening out.
