Daikoku is a feast for all the senses. New Zealand's very first Japanese Teppanyaki and Raman Noodle restaurant, they marry the culinary expertise of this precise craft with a dash of spellbinding theatre.
A bright, airy, and relaxed diner welcomes diners to a supper they're unlikely to forget in a hurry. What's more, this eatery is particularly special in the evening. With talented chefs performing their magic from behind the bar, the evening is punctuated by sudden, jaw-dropping bursts of fire from the hot plates, unbelievable tricks and countless 'ooohs' and aaahs'. Always alive with wonder and excitement, Daikoku Hamilton is a restaurant with that extra special something.
The menu focuses on beautifully cooked meat served in all its sizzling splendour from the hotplate. Of course, wagyu beef steals the show whilst its companions, the scotch and eye fillet are marinated, cooked and served to perfection. Alternatively, deep dive into their seafood options that include the most delicate salmon fillet, melt-in-the-mouth scallops and prawns with an aptly named Yum Yum Sauce.
If you're after a variety of flavours, their land & sea, seafood and steak combinations are the perfect option. And vegetarians, fear not! Have your fill of Teppanyaki deliciousness with the vegetable and tofu set. And if you decide not to employ the hotplate, their range of freshly made sushi also makes for a varied and nutritious supper. For soulful Japanese eats with a healthy dose of fun, Daikoku is always happy to see you.
