A quirky cafe, bar and restaurant on Wellington's legendary Cuba Street, SaMick is an open-hearted, communal eatery that just goes with the flow for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
And you're invited to do the same! Their open-plan dining room is wonderfully spacious, allowing diners to relax and recline to their heart's content. It's terribly modern, placing SaMick at the heart of contemporary culture in the capital. What's more, they whip up awesome plates to kickstart your day and provide some much-needed midday respite.
Like any good eatery, SaMick knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. That's why you'll find delicious fuel in the form of their signature big breakfast, veggie breakfast and the special bacon buttie that stuffs a couple of hash browns in there for good measure. Lifehack alert! And if you need a little sweetness to lure you out of bed, how about some banana waffles with a drizzle of maple syrup?
Breakfast is served until the afternoon, which means these goodies can be enjoyed during a lunch break too. However, if you prefer something more 'lunchy', look to their lunch menu where you'll find beef nachos, honey soy chicken with rice, a juicy steak sandwich brimming with mushroom sauce and a range of burgers and salads.
For dinner, enjoy juicy burgers, loaded fries and packed platters - the perfect accompaniment to thirst-quenching beers and New Zealand wines. When it comes to food at SaMick, they're never taking the mick...
